Empowering Women Through Digital Innovation: DIWA Dialogue

Hello! Today, we had the privilege to attend the Digital Innovation for Women Advancement (DIWA) dialogue organized by DICT Region V. This event aimed to empower women across Bicol and boost their involvement in Information Communication and Technology (ICT) fields. The DIWA dialogue brought together women from various agencies in Bicol. We engaged in fruitful discussions, sharing ideas, expertise, and insights to promote women's participation in ICT courses and careers. The dialogue highlighted the pivotal role of women in today's digital era and emphasized their impact on the community. During the event, OIC Regional Director Rachel Ann P. Grabador delivered inspiring remarks, stressing the importance of women's involvement in shaping the digital landscape. She underscored the value of diversity, innovation, and excellence that women bring to every facet of ICT. In addition undersecretary for ICT Industry Development Atty. Jocelle Batapa-Sigue emphasized DIWA's significance in bridging the gender gap in the digital realm. She highlighted DIWA as a pivotal initiative aligned with international resolutions and sustainable development goals, promoting gender equality and inclusivity.

As DIWA drives women in Bicol towards embracing ICT participation, it signifies a significant step towards fostering a digitally inclusive society. Today's dialogue was a testament to the collective effort in empowering women and harnessing their potential in the digital age.
