My First Day as an Intern

Welcome to my blog! Join me on this exciting journey as I share my experiences during my internship, starting with the very first day. The day was filled with digital literacy training, hands-on exercises in Microsoft Word, and an insightful orientation session.

Day 1: Diving into Digital Literacy with DICT Training Program

I was super excited on my first day at the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT). Turns out, we will be included in the Digital Literacy training program by the (DICT).

The Digital Literacy training program aimed to equip us with essential skills to thrive in the digital age.  Our first task involved replicating the layouts from 12 different exercises in Microsoft Word. This exercise was not only a test of our technical skills but also a chance to apply the digital literacy concepts we had just learned.

From adjusting margins to formatting text and mastering headers and footers, each exercise presented a unique challenge. The hands-on experience was invaluable, providing us with the opportunity to familiarize ourselves with the tools and features of Microsoft Word.

Following the technical exercise, we transitioned into an orientation session. This session introduced us to the company's core values, and expectations. We had the chance to meet our supervisors, and key personnel who would guide us throughout the internship. As the first day of my internship ended, I reflected on the knowledge gained during the Training Program.
