Day 4

Safeguarding the Digital Realm: Cybersecurity Insights and Creative Tasks on the Last Day of the Week

Hello! for the last day of this week's internship. Engr. Kim T. Aberientos, a cybersecurity expert, took the lead in discussing the intricacies of cyber threats. Following the insightful training, we were tasked by Maam Michelle Sidon-Van Bartolome to design graphic posters for upcoming DICT webinars using Canva.

Day 5: Fortifying Digital Fortress with Engr. Kim T. Aberientos

The day kicked off with a highly anticipated session on cybersecurity by Engr. Kim T. Aberientos. As a seasoned professional in the field, his expertise illuminated the importance of cybersecurity in today's digital landscape. Topics covered ranged from understanding common cyber threats to implementing best practices for safeguarding sensitive information. Engr. Aberientos provided real-world examples, making complex concepts accessible to interns with varying levels of technical knowledge. He also showed us one of the projects of DICT the PNPKI or the Philippine National Public Key Infrastructure where he demosntrates how the e-signature cannot be tampered with the e-signiture released by the DICT by other people when they want to convert it into another type of file.

Following the cybersecurity training, Ma'am Michelle Sidon-Van Bartolome, from the Technical Operations Division Office, introduced our first creative task. We were tasked with creating graphic design posters for the upcoming DICT webinars using  Canva. As we worked on our poster designs, Maam Michelle encouraged a collaborative environment. Interns shared their creations, providing constructive feedback and fostering a sense of teamwork. The collaborative critique session added a layer of learning beyond technical skills, emphasizing the significance of effective communication and collaboration in a professional setting.

The week ended with lots of new experiences ganied! Engr. Kim T. Aberientos taught us about cybersecurity, and Maam Michelle Sidon-Van Bartolome had us get creative with a Canva poster task. Looking back, I'm thankful for the cool and diverse experiences this week brought during my internship.
