Day 57

Today was filled with various activities that kept us on our toes. Our morning started with a task to visit several stores in Legazpi, where we diligently gathered price quotes for items required by our office and for an upcoming event hosted by DICT. It was a bustling morning as we navigated through the shops, comparing prices and jotting down details. In the afternoon, an exciting opportunity awaited us as we received an invitation to attend a special event at Bicol University. The event, titled "Girls in ICT Mentoring Session," was organized by DICT in collaboration with DEVCON Legazpi and the Computer Science and Information Technology (CSIT) Org. This session aimed to introduce us to the world of digital creativity and careers in technology, particularly highlighting opportunities for girls. We were immersed in insightful discussions about careers in ICT and STEM fields, gaining valuable knowledge about the vast possibilities in the digital world.

Participating in these events not only broadened our horizons but also inspired us to pursue careers in technology with confidence. The encouragement and guidance received during the mentoring session reaffirmed the importance of women's involvement in the ICT sector. As we return to our tasks with newfound enthusiasm, we carry with us the lessons learned and the determination to contribute to the advancement of technology in our community.
